Margrave's Lament

composed by Becky Malsin

I'm supposed to have a cold heart.

Love was never meant for my kind.

But then how can I show my feelings for you?

Would you even believe me if I shouted them?

For I saw her standing there,

Acting like a princess on her throne.

I saw you getting falling under her spell.

It broke my black heart.

You took me in when you didn't have to.

You shared my bed and no others. When I was galavanting with other men, You stood in the backgrounds, waiting for me.

I fell in love without even knowing it. But I am such a proud creature, The last real youma, I said, Love is only something humans feel.

I figured it out too late, I guess.

You love her now, not me.

I won't tell you of my love.

It would ruin what you've got.

For I will always love you, Calcite, and always have.
